Connections - Books - Gospel
Hi Cheecky Natives Thank you for such an amazing podcast, something I didn’t realize every black person needs in their lives. This is my daily gospel because soon as I get to work I plug in and listen to your podcast. I have loved each & every episode, I first connected with you when you interviewed Qhakaza & Thabiso, having being one of the few people who supported WNS in its infancy. Having to hear their dream for themselves & our people really made me respect them even more. I have learned and still learning of amazing books & authors. KEALEBOGA. In particular the one episode that has stood out for me the most has been Panashe Chigumadzi: These bones will rise again. She is amazing and listening to that podcast educated me so much about Zim than anything else, she has made me want to know more about Zim history and yah man, kealeboga. And the episode with Rekgotsofetsi Chikane, wow. The truth in that was so compelling I still have many episode to listen to and I am excited. I am only on 8th Nov 2018

Witty, well-researched & smart without being snotty. This podcast will change the way you appreciate African literature & African modes of self-writing.

It’s not only the only podcast that has stayed on my list (I’m too picky 😭) but I feel like it’s the best example of what South African podcasts can be. I love the energy of it - the background noise, the liveliness,...Read full review »
