“I am a pretty big history guy, and the US Civil War is a particularly interesting topic to me. Unlike WW2 History or World History, this all took place in locations you can visit and see as an American without leaving your country. My first exposure was walking around Wilson’s Creek NBP with my Grandma, and it is still my favorite battlefield even after visiting some of the big ones (Manassas, Antietam, Gettysburg).
That whole background is just to say that this podcast brings to life a subject that I love, and the hosts do it in an engaging and approachable manner. Whether you are learning it for the first time or have been interested for a long time, you can follow along easily. I love the depth they give the subjects, and it shows they really want to do the topic the justice it deserves.
