“Prof. Blight is an entertaining lecturer who LOVES his subject. He was very easy to listen to. Not boring at all. His series gives the perspectives of the North and the South throughout the war. It covers TONS of material from the beginning of the Civil War all the way to Reconstruction, and there is a downloadable syllabus if you want to follow the class readings. I recommend this highly. Pretty cool to "audit" a class at Yale. Couldn't afford to do that in real life.”
