Another unfinished series
I was actually super into the series through all the episodes and appreciated how all the twists and turns made me second guess my initial speculations but then at episode 8 it just ends abruptly with no resolve!! I listened to this one because I was under the impression that they helped to find the person who actually did it but alas, just like all the others, we’re left just as confused as when we started. It felt like the first season of Serial all over again! Also, I hate how they twist witnesses words and memories. As someone who has had to recount a crime for police records, usually you tell your story MULTIPLE times and only once do they actually record what you’re saying, so sometimes in the recordings we don’t hear the fresh in your mind account of what happened but it’s usually the third, fourth or fifth time, days have passed, you’re tired and stressed and traumatized. That witness probably was told that the neighbor was a police officer and he shouldn’t worry, but that just wasn’t when they were recording it.

Clear and compelling reporting - a great listen.

Host is a human Eeyore. Lots and lots of whining. If one perceives a place and everyone who inhabits it as horrible, the problem lies with them. There may be an interesting story here but I was unwilling to subject myself to the pity party that the host was having in order to find out.
