Description
The College Basketball Experience (@TCEonSGPN) of the Sports Gambling Podcast Network give out their opinions on the move John Calipari made leaving Kentucky to become the Head Coach of Arkansas Basketball.. On the show Colby Dant (@TheColbyD), Ryan McIntyre (@Moneyline_Mac), and Noah Bieniek (@NoahB77_) describe what happened and what the future holds for Arkansas and Kentucky. There was some help from Trey Townsend, Jack Gohlke, Greg Kampe, and Oakland, but Southern Methodist University was somehow the first domino to fall. As they move to the ACC in the 2024-25 academic calendar year, SMU's athletic aspirations are in the clouds. The Mustangs fired their 20-win head coach Rob Lanier in order to acquire a coach with high major head coaching experience. SMU shot for the stars and plucked USC's sitting head coach Andy Enfield. After five tournament appearances and an Elite 8 with USC Andy Enfield migrates to the Dallas Fort Worth area. The University of Southern California then conducted their own coaching search. It was rumored that Eric Musselman had burned some bridges in Fayetteville and was actively looking for a new place to call home. His wife is from the LA area, thus USC was a nice place for him and his family to land. After two Elite 8s and a Sweet Sixteen with Arkansas, the Muss Bus was USC bound. Lastly, Arkansas began their coaching search. First, the Razorbacks attempted to pick up Kansas State's Head Coach Jerome Tang but Tang reportedly turned them down. Then, with the help of their wealthy boosters, Arkansas was able to persuade Kentucky Head Coach John Calipari to become their next head coach. After 14 seasons with Big Blue Nation, Calipari darted to Fayetteville in search of more support and job security. To finish the show Dant, Mac, and Bieniek spitball some possible candidates to be Kentucky's next coach. Did Nate Oats already say no to the Wildcats? Could Rick Pitino finish off his career in Lexington? Is Scott Drew the favorite to land the position? How good of a fit could Bruce Pearl be? Has Mark Pope done enough to deserve a call to fill in the blank? The trio discusses all of the possibilities and more on The College Basketball Experience. ===================================================== Support us by supporting our partners Gametime code SGPN - Download the Gametime app, create an account, and use code SGPN for $20 off your first purchase - https://gametime.co/ Underdog Fantasy code SGPN - 100% Deposit Match up to $100 - https://play.underdogfantasy.com/p-sgpn Discuss with fellow degens on Discord - https://sg.pn/discord SGPN Merch Store - https://sg.pn/store Download The Free SGPN App - https://sgpn.app Check out SGPN.TV ADVERTISE with SGPN Interested in advertising?
