Children of the Whales (Kujira no Kora wa Sajou ni Utau) The Con Artists: Rolling Review #9 Fall 2017   The intro music is: CotW OP: "Sono Saki" by RIRIKO The outro music is: CotW ED: "Hashidairo" by rionos   A fascinating look at the unique lifestyle of a civilization built on the back of a massive sand-sea-faring “whale”.  At least for one episode.  Then a bunch of cat-eared clown troopers (no joke) show up and wreck the place.  The rest of the show is a mixture of uninteresting characters, impossibly overdramatized scenes, and laughable and confusing allies and enemies.  One of the fastest transitions from “interesting premise” to “godawful execution” we’ve seen in a long time.    Want to know what Children of the Whales is really about?  Want to be a jester suit wearing slave?
