These days I spend most of my time on LinkedIn looking for new assignments. More often that not my LinkedIn feed is full of motivational posters, course completion certificates, life mantras, comments for better reach, employee of the month mementos, and the worst (takes dramatic pause), TikTok style viral videos. This might come across as a rant against LinkedIn but is not. This kind of stuff is agnostic to a platform. It shows up on WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, and office walls. Coming back, there are things that are really good about LinkedIn. Especially being currently the best solution to networking & seeking assignments or jobs. Value of a platform is something that I consider important. The Why or the reason of existence of a platform is linked to the content that shows up on it. Facebook helped you connect with friends & family, Instagram took it a step ahead and let people share their life with beautiful looking photos. What does LinkedIn offer?
