Gem!
I stumbled on this via the Sulla collaboration with The Ancients podcast - so glad I did! There’s a few (absolutely brilliant) history pods around that combine entertainment with the history and that’s wonderful. I’m in! However, I find this “history lecture done with charisma” show a brilliant addition to my collection. Wonderful detail, I love the Plutarch angle and format, I enjoy the subjects covered and especially the deep dive you get with the multiple episodes. And, hey, as a Brit I find Alex’s voice/accent like mature honey relaying these erudite episodes which are wonderful company on long walks. Highly recommended!

Fantastic podcast - I love the source material and the depth in which the host covers each of the subjects. Fantastic use of Plutarch’s Parallel Lives to give the listener great context and understanding of the times and people.
