“This podcast is so many things to me. I feel uplifted whenever I listen to it, like the world is as open and wondrous as it seemed when I was a kid. At the same time, it’s clever and complex and very engaging to my adult brain! The different cryptids are all unique and delightful, and the fantastical descriptions are interspersed with so much beautiful language and sincere wisdom. This almost instantly became a comfort podcast which I turn to when I’m anxious or depressed. It’s also genuinely changed the way I look at the world around me. It’s inspired me to go outside more, do research on animals local to my area, keep a list of the random questions that cross my mind so I can chase them further, and to work on my fear of bugs. This summer, for the first time, I looked at a grasshopper and thought it was beautiful, even though I was still a little nervous. Overall, this podcast inspires me to be a kinder, happier, and smarter person, and I can’t possibly recommend it enough.”
