Tone-Deaf Anti-Semitic Atrocious Garbage
Pot calling the kettle black. It is unconscionable to me that the host and her sound editor don’t realize that they are doing exactly what they accuse Leandra of doing: not realizing the other person’s plight and what it means to walk in their shoes with the realities they experience. Instead of coming into the interview with an open mind, the host litters this hit piece with snide remarks and mocking smirks that radiate through the speakers. Leandra doesn’t sound like my cup of tea, but I can at least feel empathy for her as the daughter of a Persian (Iranian) and Turkish immigrants who are religious minorities trying to navigate a new country. While Leandra might have grown up with money, she suffers from scarcity mindset. But to the host and her sound editor they denigrate her and treat her experience as a punchline. In fact, I’ve never heard of a Persian being called ‘white’ before, so this is news to me that a Middle Eastern Jewish immigrant is seen as a white oppressor, being linked to the slave owning founding fathers. This is hypocrisy at its finest and I hope the host and audio editor realize that they are just as horrible to listen to as they accuse Leandra to be.

It sounds like she is still trying to prove herself when she's already there. The anti-Semitic word choices she used is unfortunate (and debatable because of...Read full review »

makes me cringe and I stop listening when the show starts off with “fashions only fashion show.” Too pompous to me and a lie, when I listen to the Fibershed podcast, Dressed, and have listened to American Fashion podcast in the past : all fashion “show” podcasts. I don’t know if it’s an inside...Read full review »

This was such a good podcast until the Tanning of America. Seriously - Manrepellers founder is not well. It’s clear she needs more therapy. She admits she’s been suicidal and it seems so irresponsible to launch a witch hunt against her. The hosts commentary with her editor was racist and...Read full review »
