“I don’t know who this host is, but he sounds like a fifth grader reading aloud in front of the class from an eighth grade textbook. Daily beast writing is clearly above his reading level and it makes it extremely difficult for the listener to comprehend the crux of the story. Also there isn’t enough separation between stories. It’s hard to figure out where one story ends and the next one starts.
Note to producers: If you’re going to quote something that someone said and it was recorded / broadcast, use the podcast audio format to your advantage and insert the actual audio quote instead of having the host read it with slightly different inflection. Unlike print, there are no visible or audible quotation marks to help separate the quote form the author’s writing.”
