Grace Tame and Brittany Higgins spoke at the National Press Club yesterday. It could not have been worse for the PM. Ms Higgins' charge was that he didn't do anything useful or meaningful to help women - playing into the narrative that the PM has power but doesn't use it (a common complaint of conservatives). Ms Tame alleged she was threatened by someone in a "government-funded organisation". The PM has denied it was done on his behalf - but that plays into the trust question. Who do you trust? The Liar from the Shire or Saint Grace? Yep, not a good day. The PM can't afford to lose many more.
