A Different Transition Path, Maybe?
Not sure if this is a succession plan for Dave, but the show isn’t the same that it use to be 4 or 5 years ago. The new personalities, or “experts”, really struggle to keep the show moving along. They give nothing more than Dave’s advice back mostly in an awkward and sometimes incorrect way. Forget about it, if it requires critical thinking. They hang up on the caller then just give some bland info to move on. After listening to some of the recent shows, I really hope that they don’t follow their advice. A good example was George kamel and the student loan forgiveness. He clearly didn’t do any research and was trying to give out advice that was abjectly wrong. Most of the time that Dave is on with him, George has to be corrected or brought back onto the right path. He comes off smug, even though he is arguably the weakest person on the show experience wise. He probably should be replaced with someone who has actually finance experience that can do something other than walk people through the baby steps in a condescending manner. The rest are fine I guess? Rachael Cruz is Dave’s daughter… need I say more? She’s there to push her father’s message with limited experience actually using it. John Deloney is always hearing “something in your voice” when the caller is just trying to relay simple info while Ken Coleman’s go to advice to pretty much everything is just getting a promotion or working more. Yes… making 50k more a year would solve my problem, but I would have done that already if I could. Ken is tied with George with lack of experience. Most of his responses are wordy messes that lack detail, creativity and anything tactile to work with. They just need to clear the cast and restart. They need people who are actually experts in their field or who have actual experience. Dave wasn’t a real financial planner, but had some experience and built a brand off his simple advice. I’m sure his conservative base isn’t bothered, but his never ending rants over response to Covid and democrats is getting old. Sometimes it just seems like most segments consists of rants without any callers. If they keep this up, the show will pass on with Dave. Hopefully, they come up with a better transition plan before it comes to that.

Dave's show is so candid about the failures in his life and how he rose from the ashes he is the furthest from arrogant. He even tells about what he and wife fought over in their personal struggles (and how they overcame that). 5 *s.Read full review »
