Description
Jon Provost was at High School with David Cassidy and is best known for his role as Timmy Martin in the legendary television series, Lassie, a role he played for seven years. He got his first break at the age of 2 playing Jane Wyman’s son in So Big, and we talk about the impact of being a child star. Jon went on to play the son of Bing Crosby and Grace Kelly in the Country Girl; worked alongside Clint Eastwood and Kurt Russell, Robert Redford and Natalie Wood. The check shirt and jeans Jon wore for seven years on Lassie hang in The Smithsonian. David contributed to Jon’s autobiography Timmy’s In The Well. In our often-emotional conversation, he recalls reaching out to David when he could see he was struggling with his health, and explains his own battle with alcohol addiction.
