Born in Essex and moving around a lot in his younger years, PJ began to find himself fighting and getting into trouble, but he always had the military on his mind Joining the air cadets aged 15, PJ wanted to be a fast jet pilot, but later his attention turned to the Green Beret’s of the Royal Marines. Pushing to join aged just 16, but persuaded to complete his schooling, PJ joined the Royal Marines at 18. First drafted to 42 Commando, PJ deployed onto Op Cougar before returning to the UK and moving into Landing Craft (LC) Branch at 43 Commando.
