Some good material, but often unlistenable
I've given this podcast a real chance, as I'm an aspiring digital photo enthusiast, but there are just too many things I dislike in this podcast that I'm going to unsubscribe. The good: --Photo tips are clear, insightful and useful to anyone --Rick and Juan are enthusiastic and bring a lot of energy. --They take the time to answer email/twitter questions, from the basic to complex. This is the best part. The bad: --The audio levels are so bad that interviews are boderline unlistenable. One person will be hurt-your-ears loud at the same time that the other person is barely loud enough to hear. --They are really shilling their seminars and friends. Fine, it's a business, but it takes up minutes and it isn't interesting. --Too many long, boring digressions. I've tried skipping ahead several minutes and find that they are still talking about the same thing (and not giving advice on photography). Upshot - if you edited each episode into 15-25 minutes, it would be excellent.

I met both these guys on the ANPW workshop, and if they're doing a podcast it will be fantastic; full of real world, easy to apply, logical tips, tricks and "secrets" to better photography, processing and running a photo...Read full review »
