Disturbing but not in the way you might think
The murder and violation of Martine Vik is a horrifying crime and while the efforts of the reporting team are laudable, I find Nawal’s giggle schoolgirl excitement in locating Farouk, flirting w him, chatting him up, disturbing. I know she declared her affiliation but it doesn’t make it any less ethically troubling. There are other hosts who have done this - connected w terrorists or murderers while investigating and recording podcasts (I listened to one thT tracked down a Canadian jihadist) but not in this tone and manner.
