I would also add that in recent reflections with a mentor of mine that a lot of bird dog people get caughtUp trying to make their dog a supreme specimen, and as a result end up with a dog that might be flying with reckless abandon through the field and notCarefully searching and hunting, and gets so focused on the birds that they are unable to collect themselves and be respectful members of the family because of where their brain has been trained to be.”
