“Exotic”? South Korean kindergarten classroom reading Kylie the Crocodile book.
I used to be able enjoy this show... it brought me hope and fantasy to France... until in the newest episode the host used the word “exotic” to describe the picture of an English teacher teaching in South Korean kindergarten classroom. I find it very offensive to describe Asian countries/ppl as exotic... this term is nowadays racially offensive due to the historical reasons of colonialism....maybe you guys won’t find it offensive (white folks), but yes, from an Asian’s ears, it is. (This is micro aggression, even unintentionally)
