Errr…
So apparently Gigi Foster’s son asks her about the hammer and sickle, and she goes on a long solo about the virtue and necessity of markets and the evils of a planned economy. During this time, there’s no mention of hammers, sickles, workers, peasants, Russia, WWI, the word “soviet” or most of the 20th Century. I hope he never asks her why he doesn’t work down a coal mine. Is it because of the wisdom of the market? Nice mining magnates? Anyone? Anyone? You may as well listen to Between The Lines.

Always interesting and stimulating with knowledgeable guests. Complex issues explained with depth and clarity. I always come away with a deeper understanding of the topic.

Generally I find "The Economists" very stimulating. I don't fully understand all the content but that's often what stirs my interest. I usually learn something from listening to it.Read full review »
