I came back after a few years of not listening to hear the crew’s take on the Iowa results. Incredibly, they remain out of touch with the pulse of the movement they purport to be a part of, in an absolutely basic and almost unimaginable way. The fact that three of the top four candidates were in the ‘MAGA’ wing of the party rather than the establishment wing should tell you this isn’t about a cult of personality. It is 100% the state of the country contrary to Charlie’s pitiable analysis. They simply cannot acknowledge that the center-right conciliatory Republican Party that conserved nothing over the last 30 years is the problem. I saw all this as someone whose top choice was DeSantis.

Long time listener, now a former listener. NR is more concerned with making sure their fellow DC party-goers know they’re the “good” Republicans than they are with furthering Conservative causes. More concerned with blasting Trump on his way out that detailing the disturbing censorship and “domestic terrorism” charge increasingly being levied against people who simply vote Republican. They have become part of the problem, not part of the solution.”
