Grown on me a surprising amount
Though I’ve been moving right, I’d probably represent the leftward edge of the McCain-Romney coalitions. I’ve voted for democrats since Trump took over. I think of myself more as center left than center right these days. But I love NR/Commentary/the Dispatch, and now trust high quality conservative media more than the legacy outlets. That said, the Editors annoyed me a lot, at first. Your arguments were always strong but you trained most of your fire leftward and I often thought you ignored serious Trump problems, except when you had no choice but to cover them. I suppose I can understand that as a business decision, but it didn’t seem to live up to Buckley’s legacy. I alternate back and forth between being more frustrated with Michael or Rich. Since the indictments, Rich has been winning. But you’ve brought me around on a couple points. The last few weeks I haven’t been keeping up with my podcast feed and found myself, subconsciously, choosing to listen to the Editors before other podcasts I would have guessed I liked better. But I realized, you guys have grown on me a ton. I think the points I disagree with are actually what makes it so valuable. I’ve been listening to Rich and not reviewing, because I didn’t feel 5 stars about the podcast before, but I can wholeheartedly give 5 stars now. Thanks, guys.

I'm a huge Charles CW Cooke fan. Another great place for sane discussion even if you don't agree with their stances on every topic. I don't love the around the horn questions and could stand to see a deeper dive into any one topic.Read full review »
