I was expecting some scripture to guide this podcast.
I think episode 3 really confirmed for me the book doesn’t need to be on my “To Read” List. It moves into personality traits and things we enjoy rather than going into a deeper dive on what the Bible says dying to self is all about. I thought by the title, we were going to be hearing some biblical guidance on what we need to stop sacrificing and what we need to be. Instead it was much more about, learn who you are (through personality tests rather than who God says we are) and then find things to do that you enjoy. Such a fleeting, earthly pursuit. I’ve found the whole podcast is much more a chat and sharing opinions about some really broad issues without really getting into any real meat or using scripture to support those opinions. Enjoyable enough for many, I’m sure, just not deep enough for me to appreciate.

I love Gerry’s book. I just feel there is some disharmony here between the host and the author. Just a different energy between the both of them.

I’ve been following Pete’s work for a long time now, and now to have Geri’s voice is a gift to the women of God!
