Remarkably, it took until the 30th anniversary re-release of this project for us to get the "updated information" that Anna Gaye co-wrote with Marvin on this song. In 26 years of study of this work-of-art, I never listened to it from a perspective of thinking Anna Gaye had a hand in its creation, other than being its central source of inspiration.
