Ethical Surrender with Susan Michel
Listen now
Description
At the age of 20, Susan Michel attempted to end her life twice by ingesting 6 bottles of sleeping pills in an attempt to numb a pain she couldn’t face. It wasn’t until she developed a spiritual practice and found A Course in Miracles and faced her pain, was she able to begin to heal. Susan is now a Suicide prevention advocate and has released her book - Surrender to Joy: From Suicide to Serenity. She is now on a mission to help others turn their darkest night into their brightest day. After speaking with several suicide survivors recently, I’m finding that love plays a big part in their will to live and having something to live for and I think this is a reminder for us all. **Trigger Warning** This episode discusses suicide and suicidal ideation which some people might find disturbing. If you or someone you know is impacted, help is available - speak to someone today - here in Australia Lifeline is available 24 hours a day on 13 11 14.
