I broke up after 8 yrs of relation, and I can feel what you are going through. I am really sorry to hear about your condition after break up. I can see your dreams that you saw with him. Jess, life must be full of pain and sadness without him, but let me tell you one thing. Life doesn’t end without him. Life could have been wonderful with him, but life still goes on without him. This is how I take it. He meant everything to me. You need to find the reason for your break up and analyze it rather than listening to somebody’s plain statement, you have given him your 13 yrs. If you win him for being depressed and sad after the break up, it won’t last long. As this program says, make yourself strong and make him win you, you have to follow it. Human being not only live for their spouse/partner, but also for their parents, siblings, relatives, friends and us. This is what I am doing. I am living for my brothers, parents and friends. I completely forgot about my family and friends in the last 8 yrs. I definitely talked to everyone but i did not listen to their problems (may be). Now I am listening to them. Listening to Chris’s podcast also has helped me a lot. If not anything, I get strength to face the world and start my day. I wish everyone gets there ex back, and the word “ex” gets extinct.”
