Description
Noise pollution experts Heidi Ware and Jesse Barber discuss new research of the impacts of road noise on migrating songbird populations. This new research shows that, for many bird species, road noise can have a negative impact on their ability to forage effectively. For migrating birds, this makes it more difficult to build up the fat stores needed for long distance travel. This research has important management implications, and will shed a new light on the way land managers view the issue of road noise and wildlife.
