Soooo Long-Winded
Episode 1 of the murder of Travis’s Smith was dragged out to the extreme. For example, when the host was talking about Travis’s Twitter posts on the night he was murdered she talked for ages about the difficulty they had in finding his tweets. On and on about how Twitter works, and how hard it was to search through all the tweets by people with the surname Smith. It sounded like she was explaining that they couldn’t provide the tweets for this episode. Then she revealed that Travis’s friend was able to provide them the tweets. And finally she read them out. Like pulling teeth! Although the host has a pleasant sounding voice, it is a bit monotone. And because she talks so much and barely pauses, I found it started to became exhausting to listen to. If episode 2 is as drawn out as episode 1 was I’ll have to pass on this pod, sorry.

This was painful to get through. The narrator was monotone and so verbose. Probably could have wrapped this up in two episodes. Sad story though.

This is such an important story and I really hope they can help bring some resolution or justice for the family! The podcast is presented in a thoughtful and captivating manner.

Update: I took off two stars because host is starting to fill the podcast with sanctimonious all-knowing cliches, like the meaning of love in episode called Damages. I couldn't finish listening to it, it was preachy & condescending to listeners & had nothing to do with story....Read full review »
