“In the world of comic book podcasts this show is an absolute gem.
Now I will admit to a bit of a bias where the Fantastic Four are concerned as they have been a particular favorite of mine since childhood and so I am prone to enjoy anything on the subject as a matter of course. Regardless it is not the Fantastic Four that makes this podcast great. What makes this show great are the hosts.
Stephen Lacey and Andrew Leyland are incredibly knowledgeable about the comics they are covering and comics in general for that matter. They dole out facts and bits of trivia that relevant and interesting; they give opinions on the art and story that are compelling and thought-provoking; and they seem to be having a hell of a lot fun while doing it.
And that is the crux of what makes this show worth your time - the comradery between the two hosts. Stephen and Andrew obviously love the subject and they truly seem to enjoy talking about it. And that enthusiasm, that love, that sense of fun is infectious. It turns what could have been just an average show into something brilliant. An absolute classic as far as I’m concerned.
Give it a listen, you won’t be disappointed.”
