Description
At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Emma McKeon became Australia’s most successful Olympian of all time. Her 11 Olympic medals overall broke the previous Australian record of nine from Ian Thorpe and Leisel Jones over the course of their careers. A failed attempt to qualify for the London 2012 Olympics was one of many moments where Emma chose to walk away from the sport, but it was her Olympic goal that always drew her back. Sport and the Olympics is a moment in time that unites people and creates such a strong community for the athletes.  This series is presented by Nike, championing athletes like Emma, listening to athlete’s needs and supporting them throughout all their journeys.  A true honour to sit down and chat with Emma to learn more about her journey through self-criticism, doubt and overwhelming pressure to becoming the most decorated Olympian in our countries’ history.   Buy our kids book The A to Z of Who I Could Be, or book for adults GIRLS DON’T PLAY SPORT. www.thefemaleathleteproject.com/shop Get the wrap delivered into your inbox as a weekly newsletter!
