“There’s nothing wrong with being a Christian couple and not wanting children. Children ARE a precious gift but that doesn’t mean every couple is meant and required to have them? And if you don’t have them you are some how disobedient? If you are a believer and you are in tune with God and filled with His Spirit then God will place that desire on your heart. I know many couples both in and out of ministry who do not have that desire right now. It’s not selfish it’s just not what they’ve been called to do. It’s okay to take “be fruitful and multiple” to the 10th degree for your own life but to standardize YOUR interpretation of the Word and make these blanket statements is a bit irresponsible. I can imagine this episode was especially hard for couples who can’t conceive. I love my child and we do want more so it’s not even that this even applied to me. Just please do a better job of differentiating between your personal interpretations and the text. As soon as they started citing articles as additional authority to beef up the argument that’s when I stopped tuning in. Go into this podcast knowing the Word for yourself so you can discern personal opinion from Biblical authority.”
