Ridiculous conversation. The readings of the classroom scene are entirely too sensitive to the panelists’ political biases. One commentator actually complained it’s a problem he couldn’t identify the filmmaker’s opinion on the protagonist, as if ambivalence is automatically problematic and to be avoided. Great example of why film culture today is as irrelevant as it’s ever been.
