Be Your Own Boss: A Guide for Financial Crime Fighters
Listen now
Description
With all the talk these days about 'quiet quitting' and 'quiet firing', financial crime fighters may be curious about the pros and cons of starting their own business and becoming their own boss. In this episode of The Financial Crimes Podcast, I spoke with financial crime fighter Anthony Quinn, founder and CEO of ARCTIC Intelligence, an Australia-headquartered, multi-award-winning reg-tech company. Before founding our respective businesses, Anthony and I both worked as financial crime fighters for major banks for nearly twenty years. Here we discuss, among other things, how to prepare (hint: it takes more time, money and emotional investment than you might think), find and fill a market need, the tangible and intangible rewards of being a start-up founder and the pitfalls and landmines to watch out for. I am fascinated by stories of people who switch careers and reinvent themselves. Many dream about it, but few take the leap.
