“I have loved Firestorm since his first introduction. I loved following his adventures through the various iterations of the book. And although I have not bought comics in a long time, "The New 52" renewed my interest in what my favorite superhero; Firestorm was going to be up to. Imagine my huge surprise when a Google search turned up this Podcast.
I listen to a lot of new podcasts; I keep listening to only a few. Fire and Water is one I plan on sticking with. The two hosts have all the attributes to make a great podcast. First up, a passion of the subject matter. Second, a deep knowledge of the character and his back story. In episode two Shags did a great job reviewing one of his favorite Firestorm runs and it really made me want to seek out the books and read them myself. Third, the podcast sounds great and is professionally produced. I have dropped many podcast which have the first two items and not the third. And finally, as the title of my review states; it is like chatting with your friends about comics. Sure you are the shy guy who doesn't speak up but are still happy to just listen to two buds talk comics.
Moving forward, I look forward to detailed reviews of both the new Firestorm and Aquaman books each episode with maybe the detail review of 2-3 of books in the new 52 line up which they feel are worthy of the listeners time.
