“Not just for fans of Aquaman of Firestorm, this is a podcast for fans of DC Comics, by fans of DC Comics. Aquaman and Firestorm get top billing and primary focus, but DC Comics as a whole gets a lot of love and it's interesting, in my opinion, for all fans of DC Comics.
I could make some sort of joke about how the world finally got what it deserves: a podcast about the waterborne sea king and the nuclear teen (a team-up so absurd that I serious doubt even Quisp would have considered). Truth be told, I started listening to the podcast because I'm a big Aqua-fan, and the addition of Firestorm seemed interesting enough (I've had a passing interest in the character since I was a kid, but never really got to know anything about the character -- now, however, I am a Firestorm fan, after hearing Shag's passion about the character and looking into back issues). But what kept me around is their passion and knowledge about their respective favorite characters (the podcast being a team up between Rob of the Aquaman Shrine blog and Shag of the Firestorm Fan blog -- both worth your time), their passion and knowledge of the DC Comics universe, and their conversation.
Highlights include their trip down DC Comics memory lane using the classic Who's Who guide to DC Comics as their roadmap; reviews of the new Aquaman and Firestorm comics as they come out; looks back at old story arcs; vintage commercials; a retrospective look at the Super Powers action figures collections.
If you're a child of the 70's or 80's, more than likely you'll enjoy this podcast.”
