Miami Dolphins Tales From The Deep A native of Philadelphia, Ritchie Owens attended Lehigh University before Washington selected him in the fifth round of the 1995 NFL Draft. The 6-6, 285-pound defensive end would go on to play for four teams in eight seasons, including two with the Dolphins, delivering one of the most productive years of his career in 1999 during which time he tallied 8.5 sacks, 57 tackles, 6 passes defensed, forcing and recovering a fumble.
