“There’s a lot of snake oil in the world of language learning, but Kerstin is the real deal. Her commentary is always thoughtful and highlights the sustained effort that is characteristic of true language learning, and she brings on excellent guests and uses her subject matter expertise to conduct some of the strongest podcast interviews in the game. I was listening to the fluent show before as a way to learn more about learning, but ended up getting inspired to dive in with Kerstin‘s German Uncovered course about 10 months ago, and now with her course and tips I’m starting a B2 german course, planning a move to Germany, and dreaming of the day I can join one of her language retreats. And, of course, I’m wondering which endangered language, and which East Asian language - oh, and french and Spanish - I want to tackle once I’ve gotten to advanced levels in German.
So even if you’re just interested in language learning, give it a shot. But if you’re in the trenches and need to be inspired, then definitely sign up for the fluent show!”
