A PhD can present you with many fulfiling career options: A sit down with a  Chief Science Office at RECORNEA SL, Dr Kakanga In this episode, I sit down with Dr Moses Kakanga a Chief Science Officer at RECORNEA SL. Moses is a chief Science Officer for RECORNEA SRL an ophthalmology start-up developing corneal implants. He coordinates clinical trials as well as writing documents for clinical trials, setting up medical device quality management systems, setting up global risk management systems and setting up the medical device regulatory plan of the company. He graduated with a PhD in biochemistry from the National University Of Singapore. Before this, he obtained a masters degree in Structural molecular biology from Birkbeck College, University of London. He did his undergraduate from Makerere University Kampala in Uganda where he specialised in biomedical laboratory technology. Moses worked as a laboratory technologist at Rakai Health Sciences Program in Uganda for seven years. He is interested in biomedical innovation and translational science to bring ideas from the bench to the market.
