After watching "Hitch", he said to himself that Speed Dating would work to help single professionals in Bogotá, Colombia to meet new people outside of work. In 2007, he met his current wife and this is how he describes the experience: "Through the grace of God, as soon as I saw her, I knew that she was my soul mate. God told me that I would know her by her name, which is Ruth. After a year of marriage, our beautiful son was born and we started our company Speed Dating in Colombia together. We did events for a couple of years and many clients told us that they were interested in meeting other like-minded individuals who were interested in traveling and fitness. In 2011, I founded Circle Of Friends for that purpose. We wanted to expand the speed dating business to other cities and other Latin American countries, but it was impossible with the name of the company and limited resources.
