Tim was recruited as a volunteer Young Life leader out of Davidson College. We did not know that we both attended the 20th Anniversary banquet of Lake Norman Young Life. And Tim was also at the Memorial Service for J.D. Gibbs, Joe and Pat's son who was a close friend of ours. My wife Carole and I were the founding committee chairpersons for the first five years. Ironically, the volunteer high school students who served dinner that night were not even born yet when this area started. Wow! Tim is an excellent host and skilled interviewer. When my son was born with cerebral palsy, I took myself off the morning DJ show in Kansas City and went into advertising sales to pay my bills, which led me to a 40 year career in sales, making small business owners very happy. I have a pretty amazing life story of living all over the United States and traveling to Spain, Dubai, Kenya, Capetown, South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland, and now living in Costa Rica to write my next book. I worked at ten radio stations in New York, Boston, Kansas City, Charlotte, and San Francisco.
