“I listened to these podcasts the morning after I posted a TikTok video about the bewitching hours of 7 -8:30 PM in my household. So right away I was engaged. My youngest child has me convinced she will be POTUS or a prisoner. Score again. My pediatrician growing up was a wise man infinitely influential in how my mom parented and now how I parent. Check that relatable box. In short- everything they talked about resonated.
I wasn’t surprised bc I think TJ’s account on TikTok is among the top 10 funniest on the app. However, I was delightfully surprised at how much I took from simply listening to how this lovely married couple interact. How they seem thoroughly interested in what the other one has to say. How they are on the same page in so many areas. How they tackle every story with a humorous slant. And forget about how they talk about their kids! There’s real admiration and wonder there. These aren’t just two parents making fun of their kids. They care a lot but they also know when it’s time for a good laugh.
So hidden behind the topics they cover is a whole other level of podcast with take always for every kind of listener. As a single mom - I can’t help but admit I’m hopeful for my “someday.” As a drowning parent who puts fun at the top of her list but wants to do right by her kids- I’m inspired. And I find Melissa so flipping charming!!!!
I’ve always been fascinated with discussions about birth order and nature vs. nurture. My oldest is adopted so I have a real life experiment unfolding in little personal world. I can see TJ & Melissa diving into these kinds of subjects or debates in the future. This is a podcast I recommend for ALL parents. I look forward to watching it grow.”
