I am so thankful for this podcast. A year ago I decided to tell my command about my addiction. I’m in the Air Force and let me just tell you it has only made my life worse. They claimed to try and get me help, but that wasn’t without demoting me, shaming me and now looking to kick me out with 18 years of service before I get to retire. I thought I was making the right decision to report it and try to get help, but I had no idea it would start negative consequences and career death. Thank you for your impact on my life!”
