If you are an investor in Peterborough or THINKING of investing there, this critical episode is for you.   WHAT YOU'LL LEARN: What are the current economic drivers in Peterborough Who are some of the big employers in the city What are the current vacancy rates A a primer on secondary suite conversion and garden suite additions Can you convert suites in homes under 5 years old What is ‘legal non-conforming’  The new city official plan Doug Ford’s housing task force How to speed up the building of new homes And MORE!   Bios Brad Appleby is the Supervisor of Development Planning for the City of Peterborough.  Brad oversees the City Planning Division’s processing of development applications including Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments, Site Plan Approvals, and Committee of Adjustment applications and is specifically responsible for reviewing and processing plan of subdivision and condominium applications.  Brad also participates in a number of policy development initiatives, including the City’s Official Plan Review, and was involved in the preparation of the City’s Secondary Suites regulations in 2018.   Andrea Stillman is the Zoning Administrator for the City of Peterborough. She has worked with the City in the Building Services Division for over 5 years. Andrea completes zoning compliance reviews, advises the public on zoning requirements and comments on planning applications from a Building Code compliance perspective. Her previous position involved plans review and Ontario Building Code compliance. Andrea was involved in the commenting period for the City’s Secondary Suite By-law and has been involved in the zoning compliance checks for these applications.
