“It’s only right that the GOAT should have a podcast made about her that is celebratory in tone, informative, and inspirational. Because throughout her career, Serena Williams has unfortunately been disrespected and dismissed. And that still continues today. This podcast stands alone as a tennis podcast that chooses to focus entirely on the greatness of Serena, but doesn’t shy away from discussing the toughest and lowest moments of her career.
Would you believe that there are still people who argue that Serena Williams isn’t the GOAT? So I ask them, what is it exactly that this woman has to do to get her just dues? She has the most slams in the open-era. If you’re going to argue that this doesn’t matter, then we may as well throw the entire concept of sporting history away, because sporting greatness in historical terms is always measured quantitatively. So thankfully, the opinions of the ignorant few will matter very little in the long-term.
