Hypocrite
Yascha claims to be all about open discussion free from name calling and ad hominem attacks, yet if one follows his Twitter feed, this clearly isn’t the case. Most recently, he insinuated that Patrick Deneen is an anti-Semite because of his critique of the Kristols. (He claims that’s not what he intended, an extremely hard to believe claim when one views the tweet. Just had a debate, and my only takeaway was Deneen hates Jews). He does this time and time again with critics of liberalism and likes to group them all together. Persuasion has the potential of being an essential left-of-center platform, but it mustn’t be dismissive of conservatives or leftists and instead take on their beliefs head on.

This podcast is important. It is also unique in the way it focuses on causes of counter-democratic forces in America and around the world. If you are not listening, you are missing out.
