Bad recently.
This, often great, podcast has been unbelievably poor in the last few weeks. Claims to have taken centre ground but offers absolutely no counter argument whatsoever. The normally excellent Alex Payne refused to tackle David Pembroke or James Haskell with any facts whatsoever relating to the absolute dross served up in the last couple of years. As someone who has, until very recently, been completely pro Eddie Jones I have found the hatchet job done on him, especially in the Times somewhat distasteful. How about getting one of those journalists on to offer their counterpoint and have a nuanced debate. Rather than someone bleating in culture war soundbites because the only one of 5 England coaches who didn’t think he was a moron has been sacked for having a 40% win ration and selecting woefully over the last two years.

Eddie Jones was an excellent guest who obviously cares so much about the sport and his players. He was so open, which tells you everything you need to know about the Alex/Hask/Tinds...Read full review »
