Beware: He Has a Target Audience
I have been faithfully listening to this podcast since 2018. In fact, I believe it was the first podcast I ever subscribed to, and one of about three that has every episode marked ‘played’. This past year, he posted an episode in which he rated the 10 worst cities to find love, and a separate episode in which he rated the 10 best cities to find love. Guess what episode was full of “Blue” cities and which one was full of “Red” cities. On the episode posted on January 3rd, he made it clear that he was aware that certain people were listening to his podcast, which made it clear to me that he has a target audience and knows that his words have caused his non-target audience to stop listening. He also mentioned people still dating via Zoom. Who is doing that in 2023? Most people are not. He seems to just enjoy being a jerk. That was the last episode I played. He’s been talking about how politics should not matter when dating, yet he gets into politics in this podcast by mentioning things that have been politicized. He should save that for his other YouTube show, or podcast, whatever he considers it. Howie, there was a way to deliver your message, and you could have left out the unnecessary insults. I wish you true happiness and joy, because it sounds like you need it.

The dating landscape is different now then it was 30 years ago and him and his guests help bring...Read full review »

I listened to 5 episodes before I wrote this review and I really wanted to like this podcast. It seems to be advertised as research based, all encompassing presentation of information but it’s really just hours heteronormative generalizations, ad placement, and hyperbole. This wasn’t for me.

Highly recommend. I LOVE this show & Brian Howie continues to give me hope that I will find the right relationship and figure out what my version of “happy” will be. We don’t have to settle, we can all make a change that can lead to the future we choose -not just what others push on us.
