Description
Botham, Richards, Garner, Trescothik, Caddick, Gimlett, White, Bess, Leach, Rogers, Close, Gayle, Azam. Just a few names that have graced the County Ground in Taunton and home of Somerset.  They have a beautiful ground in the South West of England and a reputation since 1875 for playing a dashing and exciting brand of cricket. Certainly, well before anyone would have used the phrase ‘brand of cricket’. Their fan base is passionate, loyal and care deeply for their beloved county. Listen here as Gordon Hollins, Somerset CEO, tells @tonybishop1 how they have navigated through the pandemic and have a long-term plan for success and growth, starting with filling that one large gap in their trophy cabinet at the earliest possible opportunity. Taunton may not a ‘Test Match Ground’ but it does stage international cricket. It also represents a broad area of this country’s cricket community and Gordon is looking to expand that further ensuring the future health of the club and its community.
