The high rating is based on previous hosts
Not sure why Baz and Andrew were turfed, they seem to be doing fine on their new show anyways - all’s well that ends well. Lads this is dry, there is forced jokes and awkward stoic pauses and it is exceedingly Leinster centric with interjections of Munster and Ulster. But those non Leinster provincial topics are still framed in a Leinster context. Connacht may as well not exist in terms of rugby on the show. Guests are excellent especially the high profile non Irish ones. But the interviews are so drab And predictable - the analysis is good but compared to the market on Irish rugby podcasts it’s pretty standard middle of the road if you had to rank it. Saturated market and this needs a bit of innovation and/or charisma/energy added to it Above average coverage of women’s rugby though. But it’s still done in a drab, forced flat style like TY Radio on 2fm a few years back. Feels like joe and Josephine bloggs trying out hosting for the first time and just lacking the show biz delivery
