“I’ve been interested in the history of the Silk Road, and my research lead me to the Hellenistic period somehow. While looking into it, I discovered Derek’s podcast and I have gone through more than 50 episodes, sometimes listening to the episodes more than once. This is an amazing tour through one of the most interesting periods of our history. I am yet to reach current episodes, but I am going on a slow pace for better appreciation. Derek is a generous host and is clearly knowledgeable and passionate for the theme of the show. I just can’t recommend this enough. I like it so much that I feel like he is my friend nowadays.”

“The podcast’s volume is so low that I have to crank my car’s volume, but then if I’m also using a map app for directions, the directions almost blow my speakers.
